About Us
We’re Dan and Melissa, owners of Boundless Horizon Puppies based in Millersburg, Ohio, since 2022. We place Cavapoo, Maltipoo, and Teddy Bear puppies with West Virginia families through a vetted network of family home raisers, never a commercial facility. We evaluate every home raiser in person before any litter is placed, and we stay your point of contact from first inquiry through the life of your dog.
West Virginia is one of the largest parts of our service area, and no two communities we serve are quite alike, from the Northern Panhandle river towns to the coalfields of the south and the mountain college towns in between. We’ve built dedicated pages for 14 West Virginia cities with local vet, park, and delivery information, and we deliver to any community in the state for the same flat rate. Read about our ENS training program, our 2-year health guarantee, and our placement process.
Breeds We Place in West Virginia
Cavapoo
A Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Poodle mix. Gentle, people-oriented, and low-shedding. Bonds closely with its family and can develop separation anxiety if left alone too long.
Weight
13–25 lbs
Height
9–14 in
Lifespan
12–15 yrs
Cardiac health note
The Cavalier side carries a genetic predisposition to mitral valve disease (MVD). Both Cavapoo parents follow the MVD Breeding Protocol: no Cavalier bred before age 2.5 without a clear cardiac evaluation. Your vet should begin annual cardiac auscultation at age 2.
Maltipoo
A Maltese and Poodle mix. Affectionate, alert, and one of the smallest breeds we place. Fits well in apartments and smaller homes with modest exercise needs.
Weight
5–15 lbs
Height
8–11 in
Lifespan
12–16 yrs
Size note
Adult Maltipoos usually reach 5 to 15 pounds, small enough that falls, rough play, and larger dogs all carry more risk than for a bigger breed. Supervise time with young kids and big dogs.
Teddy Bear
A Shih Tzu and Bichon Frise mix. Calm and devoted, with modest exercise needs. A common choice for retirees and single-person households.
Weight
9–15 lbs
Height
9–12 in
Lifespan
12–16 yrs
Eye and dental care note
Teddy Bear puppies get their round, prominent eyes from the Shih Tzu side, and those eyes need a daily wipe-down to prevent tear staining and debris buildup. The same jaw structure also crowds teeth, so daily brushing and a dental cleaning schedule with your vet matter more than for most breeds.
