About Us
We’re Dan and Melissa, owners of Boundless Horizon Puppies based in Millersburg, Ohio, since 2022. We place Cavapoo, Maltipoo, and Teddy Bear puppies with Weirton and Hancock County families through a vetted network of family home raisers, never a commercial facility. We evaluate every home raiser in person before any litter is placed.
Weirton is the largest city in West Virginia’s Northern Panhandle, stretched along the Ohio River directly across from Steubenville, Ohio via the Veterans Memorial Bridge. Hancock County’s actual seat is New Cumberland, a few miles north, even though Weirton is by far the county’s biggest city. Ernest T. Weir founded Weirton Steel here in 1909, and the mill once employed more than 12,000 people before the city incorporated in 1947 from a handful of smaller river towns. Cleveland-Cliffs closed the last of the tin mill operations in 2024, and Form Energy is now building an iron-air battery manufacturing plant on part of the old mill site. At 5 to 15 pounds, a Maltipoo fits well in Weirton’s older river-hill neighborhoods like Marland Heights and Weirton Heights, and it settles in just as easily in a downtown Main Street apartment.
