All three need people around

Every breed we place was bred as a companion dog, not a working dog. A household that’s regularly empty 8 to 10 hours a day with no plan for a dog walker or daycare is a hard fit for any of the three. Call us and we’ll talk through your schedule honestly before you decide.

Who We Are

We’re Dan and Melissa, and we run Boundless Horizon Puppies out of Millersburg, Ohio. We work with a small network of family home raisers we vet personally, not a kennel, and we place three breeds because we’d rather know each one well than sell a dozen we don’t.

Not sure which breed fits your household? Call or text us at (330) 238-8997 and we’ll walk through it with you honestly, including telling you if one of our breeds isn’t the right match.

Frequently Asked Questions

What breeds does Boundless Horizon Puppies place?

Three: Cavapoo, Maltipoo, and Teddy Bear (Shih Tzu x Bichon Frise, also called Shichon or Zuchon). We don’t carry any other breeds, so if a page on another site lists us for something else, it’s not accurate.

Which breed is right for me?

It depends on your household. Cavapoos tend to fit active families and kids well and run a bit larger, 8 to 25 pounds. Maltipoos are smaller, 5 to 12 pounds, and popular with first-time owners and apartment living. Teddy Bears are the calmest of the three, 8 to 12 pounds, and a common pick for retirees and quieter homes. All three are low-shedding, bond closely with their people, and don’t do well left alone for long stretches. Call us and we’ll talk through your situation honestly.

Are all three breeds low-shedding?

Yes. All three carry a Poodle, Bichon Frise, or similar low-shedding coat gene, which is why families with mild to moderate allergies often do well with them. No breed is 100% hypoallergenic, so if allergies are a serious concern, spend time with an adult dog of the breed before committing to a puppy.

Do any of these breeds do well left alone all day?

Not really. All three were bred as companion dogs and bond deeply with their people. A household that’s regularly empty 8 to 10 hours with no plan for a dog walker or daycare is a hard fit for any of the three. Call us to talk through your schedule before you decide.

What’s included with every puppy, regardless of breed?

A 2-year written health guarantee, health-tested parents, ENS neurological training from days 3 to 16, current vaccinations and deworming, a registered microchip, and 30 days of Trupanion pet insurance. A $200 refundable deposit holds any puppy, and nationwide delivery is available.
