About Us
We’re Dan and Melissa, owners of Boundless Horizon Puppies based in Millersburg, Ohio, since 2022. We place Cavapoo, Maltipoo, and Teddy Bear puppies with Zionsville and Boone County families through a vetted network of family home raisers, never a commercial facility. We evaluate every home raiser in person before any litter is placed.
Zionsville was founded in 1852 along the old Lafayette-Indianapolis plank road, and the brick-paved Main Street that grew up around that turnpike is still the heart of the Village of Zionsville today. Abraham Lincoln himself stopped and spoke to a crowd from the train platform here in February 1861, on his way to his inauguration, a detail the town still marks at Lincoln Park. West of downtown, Zionsville turns into real horse country, with working farms, an active fox-hunting club at Traders Point Hunt Club, and Traders Point Creamery’s organic dairy and farm-to-table restaurant drawing visitors from across the Indianapolis area. That mix of brick-street village and horse-farm countryside gives Zionsville a different feel than the other Indianapolis suburbs we serve. Zionsville’s mix of in-town brick streets and larger properties out toward the horse farms on the west side means our Cavapoo families here come from two different kinds of homes: a walk-everywhere house near Main Street, or a few acres near one of the equestrian farms toward Traders Point. Either way, most of these households have at least one parent commuting into downtown Indianapolis, and a Cavapoo’s easygoing, people-oriented temperament handles a full workday better than higher-energy breeds. The breed still bonds closely and can develop separation anxiety past 8 to 10 hours alone, so if your combined time away runs longer than that, talk to us about a midday walker before you reserve.

Most of our Maltipoo calls from Zionsville come from the brick streets right around Main Street, where a lot of the housing is older, closer together, and built well before anyone planned on a big backyard. A small, low-shedding dog fits that kind of lot size a lot better than a bigger breed, and it’s an easy walk down to a Main Street patio most evenings. The tradeoff at 5 to 15 pounds is real fragility, so a Maltipoo still needs supervision around young kids and bigger dogs.

Our Zionsville Teddy Bear buyers are usually a step past the horse-farm stage of life, empty-nesters and retirees who’ve moved off a bigger property into something smaller near the village, and who want a calm companion instead of another chore list. A short evening walk past Lincoln Park or along the Big-4 Rail Trail is usually enough exercise for the day. The daily eye and dental routine is the real commitment here, not exercise, and it becomes second nature fast.

Boone County Weather
Winter
Boone County gets around 20 to 26 inches of snow a year, with January highs in the mid-to-upper 30s°F. A lined vest handles most cold-weather walks comfortably for all three breeds.
Summer
Summers are warm and humid, with July highs typically in the mid-80s°F. Shift walks to before 9am or after 7pm from June through August.
Heartworm Prevention
Mosquito season in central Indiana generally runs April through October. Ask your Zionsville vet about year-round prevention rather than seasonal dosing, since a mild fall or spring can stretch the actual risk window.

Zionsville, Indiana Puppy FAQ
Do you deliver puppies to Zionsville, Indiana?
Yes. We deliver Cavapoo, Maltipoo, and Teddy Bear puppies to Zionsville and all of Boone County for a flat $599. Or pick up at Deer Run Park, 3102 Glen Drive, Millersburg, OH 44654. Reserve with a $200 refundable deposit.
What cardiac health testing do the Cavapoo parents have?
Both Cavapoo parents follow the MVD Breeding Protocol: no Cavalier bred before age 2.5 without a clear cardiac evaluation, and no dog bred if either parent showed signs of mitral valve disease before age 5. Your Zionsville vet should begin annual cardiac auscultation at age 2.
How big do Maltipoo puppies get?
Adult Maltipoos usually reach 5 to 15 pounds, small enough that falls, rough play, and larger dogs all carry more risk than they would for a bigger breed. Supervise playtime with young kids and bigger dogs.
Why do Teddy Bear puppies need daily eye care?
Yes. Teddy Bear puppies get their round, prominent eyes from the Shih Tzu side, and those eyes collect debris and develop tear staining more easily than most breeds. A daily wipe with a damp cloth and keeping hair trimmed away from the eyes prevents most issues.
What is the weather like in Zionsville, Indiana?
Boone County gets around 20 to 26 inches of snow a year, with January highs in the mid-to-upper 30s°F. Summers are warm and humid, with July highs typically in the mid-80s°F. Plan walks for morning or evening from June through August.
