We work with a small, vetted network of family home raisers rather than a kennel, placing Maltipoo, Cavapoo, and Teddy Bear puppies with families across Michigan and six other states.

What Our Families Are Saying ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Oakland County Weather: Honest Pros and Cons
Winter
Oakland County averages 35 to 45 inches of snow per year in the Troy corridor. A lined coat for walks below 30°F is recommended for all three breeds — Maltipoos lose body heat fastest given their smaller size, so keep their outdoor time brief in extreme cold.
Summer
Troy summers are warm and humid, with July highs typically in the upper 80s°F. Early morning or evening walks are the more comfortable option June through August.
Heartworm Risk
Michigan is a heartworm-risk state, and Oakland County’s inland lakes and creeks sustain mosquito populations through the warmer months. Your Troy vet will recommend a monthly preventative — ask about it at your first wellness exam.
