Cavapoo, Maltipoo, Teddy Bear Puppies for Sale in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Cavapoo • Maltipoo • Teddy Bear (Shichon), ENS trained, with a 2-year health guarantee and $599 delivery to Philadelphia and the surrounding counties
We’re Dan and Melissa, owners of Boundless Horizon Puppies (based in Millersburg, Ohio, since 2022). We place Cavapoo, Maltipoo, and Teddy Bear puppies with families nationwide through a vetted network of family home raisers, never a kennel. Dan personally evaluates every home raiser before any placement, and stays the direct point of contact from your first phone call through delivery day, and for the life of your dog.
Philadelphia’s size means we place all three breeds across very different settings, from Fishtown and South Philly rowhomes to Rittenhouse and University City apartments to the quieter streets of Chestnut Hill and Mount Airy. Between Penn, Drexel, Temple, Jefferson Health, and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the city has one of the country’s largest concentrations of students and healthcare workers, and we hear from a lot of them. Cavapoo Puppies Available Now
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel × Poodle. Reserve with a $200 refundable deposit. Litters go quickly.
The Cavapoo does well almost anywhere in Philadelphia, whether that’s a South Philly rowhome with a small back patio, a Fairmount walk-up near the art museum, or a yard out in Chestnut Hill. It sheds very little, gets along with kids, and doesn’t need much more than a daily walk and some couch time to feel content. Adults run 8 to 25 pounds, so it fits homes of almost any size.

Maltipoo Puppies Available Now
Maltese × Toy Poodle. Reserve with a $200 refundable deposit. Litters go quickly.
At 5 to 15 pounds fully grown, the Maltipoo is the smallest of the three breeds we place, and it sheds close to nothing. That makes it a strong pick for Center City high-rises, Rittenhouse apartments, and University City rentals with no yard at all, and for households managing mild dog allergies. The tradeoff is real fragility: a Maltipoo this size is easily hurt by a fall off furniture, a boisterous toddler, or an unmanaged large dog.

Teddy Bear Puppies Available Now
Shih Tzu × Bichon Frise. Reserve with a $200 refundable deposit. Litters go quickly.
The Teddy Bear is the calmest of the three breeds we place, and it’s the one we recommend most often to Philadelphia retirees and single-person households in quieter neighborhoods like Mount Airy and Chestnut Hill. It’s happy with a daily walk and a lot of couch time, and its dense, plush coat holds up well through a Philadelphia winter once it’s used to outerwear.

Philadelphia Weather: What to Expect Year-Round
Winter
Philadelphia averages about 23 inches of snow a year, though totals swing a lot from one winter to the next. January highs run around 40°F, with overnight lows dropping into the upper 20s. A lined coat for walks below freezing and paw wax or booties on salted sidewalks make a real difference for all three breeds, especially the Maltipoo, which loses body heat fastest at 5 to 15 pounds.
Summer
Philadelphia summers run hot and humid, with July highs averaging around 87°F and plenty of days pushing into the low 90s. The humidity off the Delaware and Schuylkill rivers makes the heat feel stronger than the number suggests. Morning or evening walks work better than midday ones from June through August.
Grooming Cost in Philadelphia
Professional grooming in the Philadelphia area runs about $55 to $95 per session, on the higher end for a big city. Cavapoos typically go every 6 to 8 weeks (F1b coats need it more often than F1), while Maltipoos and Teddy Bears do best every 4 to 6 weeks with daily brushing at home in between.

Questions Philadelphia Families Ask
How far is Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from Millersburg, Ohio?
About 419 miles, roughly 7 hours 45 minutes. The route runs east on I-76 (the Ohio Turnpike and Pennsylvania Turnpike) most of the way, then into the city on the Schuylkill Expressway. Delivery to Philadelphia and the surrounding counties is a flat $599. You can also meet your puppy at Deer Run Park in Millersburg, Ohio, if you’d rather make the drive yourself.
Do you deliver Cavapoo, Maltipoo, and Teddy Bear puppies to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania?
Yes. We deliver all three breeds to Philadelphia and the surrounding counties for a flat $599, arranged personally and driven in a private, climate-controlled vehicle, never sent as air cargo. Reserve with a $200 refundable deposit and call or text (330) 238-8997 to get on the schedule.
Can I pick up my puppy instead of having it delivered?
Yes. Families are welcome to meet their puppy at Deer Run Park, 3102 Glen Drive, Millersburg, OH 44654, which has the Pampered Paws Dog Park on site. From Philadelphia, take I-76 West (Schuylkill Expressway) to the Pennsylvania Turnpike, continue onto the Ohio Turnpike, then head south on OH-83 into Millersburg. Plan on roughly 7 hours 45 minutes.
What health testing do the parent dogs have?
Every parent dog in our program goes through an OFA eye exam, a patella check, and a full genetic panel before we plan any litter. Cavalier-cross parents used for our Cavapoos also follow the MVD Breeding Protocol for cardiac screening. You’ll get complete health records with your puppy, and we never plan a litter from a parent with an unresolved health flag.
How much snow does Philadelphia get, and how do these breeds handle it?
Philadelphia averages about 23 inches of snow a year, though recent winters have run heavier. All three breeds do well here with basic winter gear: a lined coat for walks below freezing, paw wax or booties on salted sidewalks, and shorter outdoor sessions on the coldest days for the Maltipoo. January highs run around 40 degrees, so daily walks stay part of the routine through winter.
What does grooming cost in Philadelphia for these breeds?
Plan on $55 to $95 per session every 4 to 8 weeks depending on the breed and coat type, with Maltipoos and Teddy Bears on the more frequent end and F1b Cavapoos needing more upkeep than F1s. Between visits, brush 2 to 3 times a week at minimum (daily for Maltipoos and Teddy Bears) and start tooth brushing the first week home.
