About Us
We’re Dan and Melissa, owners of Boundless Horizon Puppies based in Millersburg, Ohio, since 2022. We place Cavapoo, Maltipoo, and Teddy Bear puppies with Indianapolis and Marion County families through a vetted network of family home raisers, never a commercial facility. We evaluate every home raiser in person before any litter is placed.
Indianapolis is Indiana’s capital and by far its largest city, and it’s really a patchwork of distinct neighborhoods rather than one uniform place: Broad Ripple’s shops and bars along the canal, Fountain Square’s older storefronts turned into breweries and music venues, and the Mass Ave arts district downtown all have a different feel. Read about our ENS training program, our 2-year health guarantee, and our placement process.

Being the state capital, Indianapolis draws Cavapoo buyers from all over the income and lifestyle spectrum, but two groups stand out: downtown professionals near the Mile Square who want a dog they can walk on a lunch break, and families in the older, established neighborhoods on the north and east sides who’ve had a Cavalier mix before and know what they’re getting into. One honest caution worth knowing up front: Cavapoos bond deeply and can develop separation anxiety when left alone 8 to 10 hours a day. If your household is empty most of the workday without a walker or daycare plan, talk to us before reserving.

A lot of our Indianapolis Maltipoo calls come out of the dense loft and rowhouse buildings around Mass Ave and Fountain Square, where a small, low-shedding dog is genuinely the only realistic option for the square footage, and we hear from more than a few buyers managing a mild allergy in the household. The tradeoff is real fragility at that size, so young kids and bigger dogs need supervision.

Indianapolis has a good number of older, tree-lined neighborhoods like Irvington and Meridian-Kessler where people have owned their homes for thirty-plus years, and that’s where a lot of our Teddy Bear conversations start — people looking for a calm dog to match a slower stage of life. We also place a fair number with residents of the downtown senior and independent-living high-rises, where a small, quiet dog fits the building rules and the lifestyle both. Either way, the daily eye and dental routine is the real ask, not the exercise level, and most people find it manageable once they know it’s coming.

Marion County Weather
Winter
Marion County sees around 22 to 28 inches of snow a year, with January highs in the mid-to-upper 30s°F. A lined vest handles most cold-weather walks comfortably for all three breeds.
Summer
Summers are hot and humid, with July highs typically in the upper 80s to low 90s°F. Shift walks to before 9am or after 7pm from June through August, and check downtown pavement before midday walks.
Heartworm Prevention
Mosquito season in central Indiana runs roughly April through October. Ask your Indianapolis vet about year-round prevention rather than seasonal dosing, since a mild winter can shorten the safe off-season.

Indianapolis, Indiana Puppy FAQ
Do you deliver puppies to Indianapolis, Indiana?
Yes. We deliver Cavapoo, Maltipoo, and Teddy Bear puppies to Indianapolis and all of Marion County for a flat $599. Or pick up at Deer Run Park, 3102 Glen Drive, Millersburg, OH 44654. Reserve with a $200 refundable deposit.
What cardiac health testing do the Cavapoo parents have?
Both Cavapoo parents follow the MVD Breeding Protocol: no Cavalier bred before age 2.5 without a clear cardiac evaluation, and no dog bred if either parent showed signs of mitral valve disease before age 5. Your Indianapolis vet should begin annual cardiac auscultation at age 2.
How big do Maltipoo puppies get?
Adult Maltipoos usually reach 5 to 15 pounds, small enough that falls, rough play, and larger dogs all carry more risk than they would for a bigger breed. Supervise playtime with young kids and bigger dogs.
Why do Teddy Bear puppies need daily eye care?
Yes. Teddy Bear puppies get their round, prominent eyes from the Shih Tzu side, and those eyes collect debris and develop tear staining more easily than most breeds. A daily wipe with a damp cloth and keeping hair trimmed away from the eyes prevents most issues.
