Cavapoo, Maltipoo & Teddy Bear Puppies Near Georgetown, Kentucky
We’re Dan and Melissa, owners of Boundless Horizon Puppies, based in Millersburg, Ohio, established 2022. We place Cavapoo, Maltipoo, and Teddy Bear puppies with families across Kentucky and the rest of the country through a vetted network of family home raisers, rather than running a kennel ourselves. Dan evaluates every home raiser personally and is your direct contact from first inquiry through delivery and for the life of your dog.
Georgetown is home to Toyota’s largest vehicle assembly plant in North America, and that shapes a lot of what we hear from Scott County: shift workers who need a dog that can handle an irregular schedule, plus Georgetown College families and longtime residents near the historic courthouse square who want a dog that settles in fast. Read how our placement process works.
Between the Toyota plant, Georgetown College, and the small-town pace around the square, Scott County draws a steady mix of households, and all three breeds we place adapt well to that kind of routine. Every puppy comes with ENS neurological training from days 3 through 16 and a 2-year written health guarantee.
Cavapoo Puppies for Sale in Georgetown
A Cavapoo can struggle in a Scott County household built around rotating shift work, since 8 to 10 hours alone on a regular basis is enough to trigger genuine separation anxiety in this breed. It tends to do better with someone home during the day, or in the in-town neighborhoods near the square where a midday check-in is easy. Coat maintenance runs 2 to 3 brushings a week on an F1 puppy, more often on an F1b.

Maltipoo Puppies for Sale in Georgetown
Georgetown College students and young professionals near the downtown square tend to gravitate toward the Maltipoo. It’s small enough to settle into an apartment or a short commute without much fuss. The tradeoff shows up at the vet more than the yard: the jaw is small, tartar builds up fast, and a nightly toothbrush from week one is what actually keeps the dental bills down later.

Teddy Bear Puppies for Sale in Georgetown
Retirees and single-person households around Scott County are usually the best fit for this breed. It’s the calmest of the three we place, skips the cardiac monitoring the Cavapoo needs, and is happy with one walk a day rather than a jog around the square. What it does ask for is consistency: brushing most days to keep the coat from matting, and that daily eye wipe without skipping.

Scott County Weather: What to Actually Expect
Winter
Scott County sees about 10 to 14 inches of snow in a typical year, and January highs usually land around 41°F. None of these three coats need extra layers to get through a Georgetown winter.
Summer
July highs run around 86°F with plenty of Bluegrass humidity, so summer is the season to plan around. Walk earlier or later in the day from June through August, especially with the Cavapoo’s thicker coat.
Grooming Cost in Georgetown
Budget $48 to $75 for a professional grooming session, scheduled every 4 to 8 weeks depending on the dog’s generation. Skip the daily home brushing between appointments and the coat gets away from you fast.

Questions Georgetown, Kentucky Families Ask
Do you deliver Cavapoo, Maltipoo, and Teddy Bear puppies to Georgetown, Kentucky?
We do, for a flat $599 covering all of Scott County, arranged personally in a private, climate-controlled vehicle rather than a shipping crate. A $200 refundable deposit reserves your puppy. Some families skip the delivery fee and meet us at Deer Run Park in Millersburg, Ohio (about 275 miles away) instead. Call (330) 238-8997 to talk it through.
What’s the difference between a Cavapoo, Maltipoo, and Teddy Bear?
Each is a small, low-shedding companion breed, and each asks for something a little different day to day. The Cavapoo needs lifelong cardiac monitoring. The Maltipoo is the smallest and most delicate, with dental upkeep as the daily job. The Teddy Bear is the mellowest of the three and needs the least exercise, though its eyes need daily attention.
What cardiac health testing do the Cavapoo parents have?
Mitral Valve Disease runs in the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel line, so we hold both parents to a strict standard before any litter happens: a Cavalier needs a clean cardiac workup past age 2.5, and either parent showing MVD before age 5 takes them out of our breeding program permanently. Once your puppy hits its second birthday, put annual cardiac auscultation on the calendar with your Georgetown vet.
Is a Maltipoo a good fit for a Georgetown shift-work household?
It can be, with some planning. Toyota’s plant runs rotating shifts for a lot of Scott County families, and at 5 to 15 pounds a Maltipoo is small enough to settle into an apartment or a short commute without much trouble. The catch is the size itself. A dog this small gets hurt easily around toddlers or bigger dogs, and a long stretch alone is hard on any small breed, so a midday check-in matters.
Are Teddy Bear puppies a good match for Scott County retirees?
Yes, this is the breed we steer Scott County retirees toward most. It’s content indoors, doesn’t need more than a daily walk, and skips the cardiac monitoring that comes with the Cavapoo. The upkeep is a daily eye wipe and a nightly tooth brushing. Both are small habits you can’t skip.
How do these breeds handle Scott County winters and summers?
Scott County sees about 10 to 14 inches of snow a year with January highs around 41°F, which is easy on all three coats. Summer is the bigger factor: July highs run around 86°F with real humidity, so plan walks for morning or evening once June arrives.
Can I pick up my puppy at Deer Run Park in Millersburg instead of paying for delivery?
You can. Deer Run Park is at 3102 Glen Drive, Millersburg, OH 44654, about 275 miles from Georgetown by way of I-75 North through Cincinnati, then I-71 North toward Columbus. Pampered Paws Dog Park sits right on the grounds. A $200 refundable deposit reserves your spot. Call (330) 238-8997.
