What breeds does Boundless Horizon Puppies place?
Three: Cavapoo, Maltipoo, and Teddy Bear (Shih Tzu x Bichon Frise, also called Shichon or Zuchon). We don’t carry any other breeds, so if a page on another site lists us for something else, it’s not accurate.
Which breed is right for me?
It depends on your household. Cavapoos tend to fit active families and kids well and run a bit larger, 8 to 25 pounds. Maltipoos are smaller, 5 to 12 pounds, and popular with first-time owners and apartment living. Teddy Bears are the calmest of the three, 8 to 12 pounds, and a common pick for retirees and quieter homes. All three are low-shedding, bond closely with their people, and don’t do well left alone for long stretches. Call us and we’ll talk through your situation honestly.
Are all three breeds low-shedding?
Yes. All three carry a Poodle, Bichon Frise, or similar low-shedding coat gene, which is why families with mild to moderate allergies often do well with them. No breed is 100% hypoallergenic, so if allergies are a serious concern, spend time with an adult dog of the breed before committing to a puppy.
